So excited!!! I personally recommend touring Tech before accepting, it would be a great shame if you decide to come here, and upon arrival, you hate the atmosphere. Also, you should do at least one tour if possible, there are so many! Admitted Students say, Destination Tech, or just a regular tour of campus!! I would also recommend sitting in a class to get a feel for the environment. I know that the writing assignments and projects are going to be hard but the labs so far have been pretty simple.
All sections are flipped meaning that you have to watch lecture videos outside of class and then you spend more in class time doing labs. I really hate this class. The lecture is boring - Yoder uses a tablet to project live handwritten notes…the homework is from the book, and there are quizzes on the videos. The quiz was so - so. There were three questions, one of which was pretty hard, one was medium, one easy, and a bonus question which was super complicated. We had a class average of 87 on that test.
I have Kline, and I think he is a wonderful teacher. He keeps lecture interesting, and he writes code with us in class. I just finished doing a lab and they are pretty cool.Great university for opportunity and academics. Social is great if you find a group, but can be rough if you're a loner. The social life is there, but it could be better. Location in the middle of Atlanta is great to experience things outside of campus. The best part of Tech is the community you get to be a part of. If you want to come to a school where you will certainly be challenged, then Tech should be at the top of your list. Been here for a semester exchange. Great people and facilities. The food can be a little expensive and there isn't much variety.
Otherwise a really good school. When people see a GT hat on my head I always get praise, even from strangers. The professors, research and all other things academic are top notch. Biggest complaints are 1.
Great place! I wish they had better scholarship opportunities for outstanding international students though Georgia Tech is amazing! I'm always glad to have chosen to come here! Professors normally are caring and have good lectures. Classes are hard, not gonna lie, but there's a lot more besides that.
LOTS of opportunities in research, clubs, workshops, and free events. Choosing priorities is important to get the most out of it.
Food and dorms suck ahah. Greek Life has superb food if you choose the right house. I love Tech.Skip to content. We believe it is vitally important for our students to be able to take the theories and methods that they learn in class and apply them to real-world challenges.

Ok so I realize this question has probably been asked a lot but all the threads I am finding are fromand I was wondering If anyone had any updated stats on the Average GPA of tech students.
The problem is some people are telling me it is a 2. I'm confused and this is actually a very important thing for me as I plan to do grad school at some point in life, and don't want to have to destroy myself studying just to try and break a 3.
The thing is that with the right amount of studying and dedication I think I could be an average student at Tech, which is all I am really after, but if the average student has a 2.
I am majoring in Civil Engineering. January edited January January InPursuit replies 2 threads Member. The all fraternity GPA seems to currently be just above 3. Thank you very much! His hardest class was outside his CS major history. Why are some students doing poorly?
