The mark of its brand on an electronic device is commonly accepted as a mark of assurance for quality. This reputation for making high quality products is a reason why people still prefer to get a Sony despite the fact that it is more expensive than other brands. This is even more true when it comes to televisions. Sony TVs has been seen to lead in technology when it comes to innovation and features.
Despite the solid reputation created by Sony, its products are still electronic devices that are bound to have defects, no matter how solid the quality control standards that they try to maintain. These devices will break down at some point. These defects however should not occur right away or after a certain period without the TV being used.

The colors will be different and their position will not be consistent. This kind of problem is usually an indication that the set has a bad LCD screen, which is bad news for you.
Those are two problems that are common to Sony Bravia televisions, but there are other issues that usually happen with LCD TVs in general. Here are some troubleshooting tips that you can follow in case you encounter some issues with your Sony LCD TV or any other brand of TV for that matter.
If your set will not turn on, then check the power line and the power supply. It might not be getting any power at all. Choose the Auto Program function on your remote if you are not receiving any channels. This feature will allow your TV to pick up channels that are not stored in its memory.
Make sure that the set is far from possible interference sources like microwave ovens, cordless phones, and cable leads. Place your TV back to the factory settings by doing the following: Press the up arrow key and the power key at the same time. Then release the up key, and that will erase any settings that you have made. These are some of the things that you can do to resolve issues on your Sony TV. If these steps do not work then you should call Sony support or a repair man.

If the basic troubleshooting does not work, however, the problem may exist within the speaker hardware. In this case, professional repair or speaker replacement is not uncommon. A quick reset through the power cycle can work magic for a television with sound problems. It works for a number of other short-term, intermittent problems as well. Unplug the TV from the power outlet and wait several minutes while the power leaves the system.
Consider running a simultaneous power cycle on your cable box, external audio and other connected systems at the same time. Return everything to power and turn on the television. Test for audio to see if any problems continue.
Make sure you are using the Bravia internal speakers only because an external speaker system that experiences issues requires a different approach to troubleshooting.
If the power cycle fails, a factory reset is another option, but run through the sound settings first to prevent losing any custom settings applied to the television over time.
The actual sound settings can cause issues within the sound system. Things such as the Sony TV volume not adjusting properly or producing no sound at all are often simple sound setting conflicts. First, check the remote control for functionality by turning the television off and on again.
If the remote is operating properly, press the sound up button to increase the volume. If the volume change is not evident, press Mute to ensure the sound is not muted.
Next, check the audio jack for a cable. Headphones or external audio cables can transport the sound away from the speakers and through the external cable system.
Unplug any external audio systems to isolate the problem to the built-in speaker system of the TV. Make sure it's set to Audio Out. Also, check the main menu and turn the speakers to On to ensure they are activated. Lastly, turn off the surround sound if no external system is attached to make the internal speakers the default use setting. These simple sound settings ensure the speakers are the primary sound source and should resolve any issues not specifically related to the hardware.Sony offers a series of advanced televisions under the Bravia name.
Problems with Sony Bravia televisions can include issues with sound, ranging from a complete lack to distorted or unacceptable sound quality and insufficient volume. These problems can be diagnosed and corrected by following a few troubleshooting steps. Trace back any wiring from the Bravia and make sure all connections to its inputs, outputs and speakers are secure.
Remove plugs from their jacks and plug them in again. If it's connected to a home theater amplifier and speakers, verify that all connections between the Bravia and the home theater system are complete and that the amplifier box is switched on. Check any sources that supply signals to the Bravia. For example, if the signal usually comes from a cable box, make sure the cable box is on and the wires are intact.
Trace the wiring back even further—make sure the cable is connected to the cable box as well. Verify that the input and output settings on the various pieces of equipment are set correctly.
For instance, the Bravia needs to be set to the correct input for the cable box if you are using cable as the source. If you are getting a picture but low or no sound, try increasing the volume on the remote control. The volume button is marked with a plus and a minus and sits to the left of the channel button. Press the mute button a few times.
Reduce the sound on the Bravia and increase it on the home theater system to reduce distortion. Replace the batteries on the Sony Bravia remote control if nothing happens when you press the volume and mute buttons.
